The product features are to track enquiries, schedule show-around and follow-up dates in your diary, keep an up-to-date waiting list, display child information, including allergies, medical histories, dietary preferences and permissions schedule and invoice bookings with the flexibility to book 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 15-minute segments. |

| It also assigns caretakers to individual children and accommodates complex family structures, keeps photographic records of children and caretakers, creates comprehensive room reports and diaries showing starters, leavers, birthdays, appointments, room visits and more. It can produce almost any report - and request bespoke reports if required and invoice every child in real time. |

| The architecture of the product is such that the presentation layer is developed in C# and resides on the IIS Webserver as ASP.net code. The business layer is developed in VB and C# and resides separately as a web service that can be hosted on the same IIS or an independent IIS server. |

| The backend database can only be accessed via the web service for security reasons and in order to ensure proper complete transactions. Rollbacks, audit logger, rules engine and a job framework are all components built into the business layer as a web service. |

| Online Examination System |
| The Online Examination System is developed to computerize and automate the process of different types of examinations. |
| |
| The examination consisted of three major sections each consisting of fifty questions, the random number generator routine selects any fifty questions from the database at any given point of time. The system stored sample questions and their answers in two different data files. |
| |
| A provision was also made in the project so that a person cannot appear for the same examination more than once. This was done by maintaining the corresponding details of the candidate in the database. |

| The candidate had an option to use either the keyboard or the mouse to answer the examination. An onscreen watch kept a tab on the progress of the examination. At the end of the stipulated time or if the candidate has finished answering the examination, the scores are calculated by the application and a comprehensive report is generated for the candidate. |

| If the candidate fails the examination then the administrator can delete the name of the candidate from the appeared candidates list and then he can reappear for the examination. |
